Position Overview:
As a Personal Injury Adjuster in our law firm, you will be responsible for managing a caseload of Personal Injury claims. You will play a crucial role in file management, ensuring that cases progress smoothly, efficiently, and in accordance with established legal procedures. Your primary focus will be on providing excellent client service and facilitating the resolution of Personal Injury claims.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Case File Management:
- Review and assess incoming Personal Injury claims, ensuring all necessary documentation is obtained and organized.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files, including medical records, police reports, insurance information, and other relevant documentation.
- Monitor the status of each case, ensuring deadlines and court dates are met.
Client Communication:
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates on the progress of their cases.
- Address client inquiries, concerns, and requests promptly and professionally.
- Offer compassionate support and guidance to clients throughout the claims process.
Investigation and Documentation:
- Conduct thorough investigations to gather evidence and support the client's claim.
- Interview witnesses, review medical records, and gather any relevant information to strengthen the case.
- Prepare detailed and accurate reports summarizing the findings of the investigation.
Negotiation and Settlement:
- Collaborate with attorneys to assess the value of claims and determine appropriate settlement strategies.
- Engage in negotiations with insurance companies or opposing parties to achieve fair and favorable settlements.
- Draft settlement agreements and facilitate the resolution process.
Legal Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and ethical standards during the claims process.
- Maintain confidentiality and protect sensitive client information.
Record-keeping and Reporting:
- Document all interactions, actions, and progress in case management systems or databases.
- Generate regular reports on case status, progress, and outcomes.
Team Collaboration:
- Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and other team members to support case strategies and objectives.
- Participate in team meetings to provide updates on the status of assigned cases.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
- Previous experience as a Personal Injury Adjuster or in a similar role in a law firm.
- Strong knowledge of Personal Injury law and legal procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong client relationships.
- Detail-oriented and highly organized with exceptional file management abilities.
- Proficiency in using case management software and other relevant tools.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Empathetic and compassionate demeanor when dealing with clients who may be facing difficult situations.
