The Personal Care Aide will...
- Provide one of several different services depending on individual clients needs including:
1) Educational Supports - supporting individuals within the home and center based agencies by providing assistance with educational/daily needs.
2) Behavioral Support Services - helping individuals meeting their behavioral goals in order for them to lead a more fulfilling life.
Additionally providers will:
· Provide services which align with the goals in the Individual Service Plan
· Display respect and compassion toward the individuals they assist
. Provide supports to the individual in the home setting which may include daily living tasks.
. Plan activities with and for the individual across settings (home and school)
· Maintain consistent, regular contact as a team member with the family and other professionals involved with the individual
. Completion of agency paperwork in an accurate and timely manner
Requirements..
Minimum of a High School Diploma (Associates or Bachelor's Degree Preferred)
- Valid Driver's License
- Ability to pass background checks (this includes PA State Police Check, Child Abuse Clearance and Fingerprint clearance)
- Active and Valid CPR/First Aid Training Certificate
- Experience working or volunteering with individuals with disabilities is preferred but not required......passion for helping others is!

* Skills, Knowledge and/or Abilities Required:
- Ability to operate a computer
- Use of English in verbal and written form
- Basic knowledge of individual child development
- Ability to communicate effectively with parent/worker/other professional’s on the individual’s case
- Maintain confidentiality of individuals records
- Submit paperwork in an appropriate and timely manner
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $13.50 - $16.00 per hour
