We are growing!! Looking for a full-time Personal Banker for our State Street location in Saginaw.

Overview:
The Personal Banker is responsible for contributing to the overall success of the bank by delivering exceptional customer service, in accordance with 1st State Bank’s Mission Statement. To be successful in this position, the Personal Banker must be able to uncover customer needs using a non- threatening conversational questioning style and be able to develop real solutions tailored to the customer’s individual needs. To be effective they must be knowledgeable and have a deep understanding of both business and personal accounts and services. Personal Bankers must be able to communicate effectively and professionally with customers, prospective customers, and all bank employees. Daily job duties may vary, but consist of the following:
- Complete customer transactions accurately
- Maintains and balances a cash drawer
- Follow 1st State Bank policies, procedures, compliance, and security practices consistently
- Complete monthly reporting requirements
- Assists with, and simplifies problem resolution
- Assists with branch operational activities and responsibilities
- Actively works to retain and deepen existing customer relationships by understanding their real needs and providing real solutions
- Contacts customers in various ways, including telephone, email, and in-person visits, for follow-up and for pursuing new opportunities
- Asks customers for referrals
- Completes scheduled training and reviews updates to stay current with policies, procedures, compliance and industry changes
- Understand legal documents, prepares the proper documentation, and open accounts for business and personal relationships
- Processes proof work through back counter capture software
- Processes and balances ATM
- Understand electronic banking options and assist customers with online banking, bill pay, and mobile banking
- Identifies and refers business opportunities to business lenders, cash management, mortgage lenders, and public funds
- Supports a friendly and inviting atmosphere at the branch for fellow employees and customers
Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree preferred
- Strong customer service orientation
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Must be a team player, willing to help out where ever there is a need
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to think creatively about business challenges and demonstrate initiative
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Strong attention to details
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word and Power Point.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
