JOB DESCRIPTION:
Our Direct Support Professionals (DSP's) at Breakthrough work to provide support for adults with autism in residential and community settings. DSP's are required to have their own vehicle with insurance and a valid driver's license with good driving history. The position will require some driving. DSP's are responsible for safely escorting individuals out in the community for appointments, meetings, and various other meaningful outings. Other responsibilities include taking excellent notes on activities and services provided, keeping the house in good order, and maintaining quality relationships with other staff, with person's supported, and with person's supported families.
DSP's are required to be CPR and First Aid certified before working shifts and must supply a copy of a high school diploma, GED, or higher education. No experience is necessary.
