I am seeking a dedicated and compassionate Personal Assistant to provide support and assistance to my adult daughter with a rare genetic neurological condition called SYNGAP1. As a Personal Assistant, you will play a vital role in helping my daughter with her daily activities and ensuring her well-being. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a difference in someone's life.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct support for disabilities and special needs.
- Provide caregiving support and companionship.
- Administer first aid as needed. Monitor medications.
- Drive to appointments, errands, or social outings in the community.
- Maintain accurate documentation of care and progress.
- Assist with household tasks such as meal preparation, light housekeeping, and laundry.
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, feeding, etc.
- Assist with educational and physical activities.
Qualifications:
- Compassionate and caring nature.
- Previous caregiving experience required.
- Experience working with challenging behaviors required.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification required.
- Proof of car insurance.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to pass a background check.
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions.
