Responsibilities
The staff Perfusionist is a professional who is responsible for maintaining the heart and lung apparatus during cardiopulmonary bypass. Additional assignments for the staff perfusionist include setting up and operating right and/or left ventricular assist devise monitoring, set-up and insertion of intra-aortic balloon catheter, operating of intra-aortic balloon pump, intraoperative autologous recovery for transfusion, invasive pressure monitoring and participation in on-call rotation. Qualifications
- Must be able to demonstrate a thorough knowledge of perfusion techniques and theory Document to ABCP 40 OHS annually/attend professional conferences related to Perfusion (45 CEU''s)
- Minimum of one year experience preferred Graduate of a School of Perfusion Technology Board eligible or Certified by the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion
- BLS Card Required
- Copy of ABCP certificate on file with annual renewal on file
Pay Range
$68.76 - $99.70 /hour
