Position Summary:
Gatesman is seeking a talented Performance Media Planner/Buyer to join our growing team. The Performance Media Planner/Buyer provides support (both administrative and analytical) to the Media Managers. This position will also assist with the development and execution of media plans.
Responsibilities:
Strategic Performance Marketing
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of industry news and developments pertaining to digital marketing
- Understanding of the various digital media channels (SEM, Display, Programmatic, Paid Social), how they influence and compliment one another, and their role in our clients’ media mix
- Development of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills
- Knowledge of clients’ business and digital marketing objectives
- Identification of the client’s target audience along with their attitudes, behaviors, and media consumption habits using a variety of research tools
- Exploring new media opportunities
- Helping in preparation for reporting meetings
Campaign / Project Management
- Fulfil relevant daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly tasks ensuring that all campaigns are executed to plan and meeting target KPIs
- Ensure orders are correctly placed within internal billing systems and invoices are reconciled on a monthly basis
- Coordinate deliverables with account team including collecting creative specs and completed creative assets, relaying creative deadlines, and aiding in campaign setup
- Help prepare monthly and end-of-campaign performance review presentations
- Provide regular reporting, performance analysis, and recommendations
- Keep managers and account team updated on the status of account activities
- Provide input in developing campaign strategies
Work with your Digital Performance Manager to ensure that:
- Campaigns and project timelines and budgets are maintained
- Campaigns are accurately set up according to approved plans
- Optimizations are focused on the campaign’s objectives and driving improvement in its primary KPIs
- Budgets are paced to deliver in full over the course of the campaign and invoices are reconciled correctly
- Campaigns are monitored regularly, measured against forecasts, and optimized to drive efficiency gains
- Reports and presentations are delivered to the highest level of quality, providing both insight and proactive recommendations
Requirements
- B.S. or B.A. degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or a related field
- Digital media planning and buying experience
- Familiarity with paid search (Google ads), paid social (Facebook, LinkedIn), or programmatic buying/display platforms
- Proven experience with Campaign Pacing and Optimization Reporting
- Drive and ability to prioritize while working on multiple assignments under deadline pressures
- Fast learner who easily adapts to various agency and client demands
- Ability to understanding client needs, maintaining relationships, build partnerships
- Communicates effectively at all levels, both up and down
- Strong numerical skills, attention to detail, and multi-tasking capability
- Able to work collaboratively across teams
- Analytical and strategic thinker
