Salary: $45,000 - $55,000

Pathfinders, a full-service integrated marketing agency, is seeking a motivated Junior Media Buyer/Planner to join our team. This is a full-time, permanent position and is 100% remote eligible with occasional travel requirements. This position manages and implements paid advertising strategies for our clients as directed by the client-approved media plan. The role is essential in executing the detailed elements of campaigns and media goals on platforms by ensuring the accurate set-up and managing of day-to-day performance of campaigns.  The ideal candidate will have experience and expertise in executing paid search campaigns.

What you will do, in greater detail:

  • Oversee and execute marketing and advertising campaigns for various broadcast, digital, and media outlets
  • Meet with clients, prepare plans for media, organizing budgets, and negotiating the costs of advertising spaces with vendors when applicable. Overnight/weekend travel will be required for certain events
  • Follow current market trends and understand our target consumer patterns
  • Coordinate suitably with production and distribution of material with various departments
  • Be an advocate for new systems and tools to continuously expand our advertising capabilities
  • Works collaboratively as an enthusiastic advocate for our client’s paid media campaigns and budgets
  • Work with digital and creative teams in directing content creation to ensure accurate specs and tracking
  • Work closely with internal and external teams, via remote and in-person interactions, to ensure requirements and strategic direction are met. Overnight/weekend travel will be required for certain events
  • Set up new ads within various social / digital platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google Ads, Bing Ads, Amazon, etc.
  • Execute digital marketing tactics including bid management, keyword research/development, paid search ad copy writing, campaign performance tracking, and reporting 
  • Closely monitor campaigns throughout their entire lifecycle across a variety of platforms and evaluate the effectiveness of campaigns, offering recommendations based on evaluations to improve the campaigns
  • Closely monitor budget pacing across all campaigns and platforms to ensure accurate budget spend as defined in the media plan
  • Compile results and regularly report on campaign performance based on established KPIs and benchmarks,
  • Present reports to internal media team to communicate performance trends
  • Work with greater media team and digital team  for troubleshooting of all placements and pixels for on-site tracking implementations to ensure proper tracking.
  • Audit search and display efforts of clients’ competitors
  • Identify new digital advertising opportunities

What we’d like to see in a strong candidate:

  • B.Sc./B.A. required preferably in marketing, advertising, or media
  • Preferred but not required: 1+ years paid media experience either agency side or within the digital industry (inclusive of DSPs, ad serving companies, etc.)
  • Has a knowledge of paid digital media practices including strategy, tactical execution, ad serving, optimization and reporting.
  • Participate in quality control by ensuring campaigns are setup correctly with the appropriate ad specs, tracking pixels in place, accurate budgets, targeting parameters, etc.
  • Ability to manage display, search, video, remarketing and social media campaigns
  • Familiar and understanding of current digital advertising products, offerings and other 3rd-party platforms such as Google Ads Network, Meta, etc.
  • Familiar of placements and pixels for on-site tracking implementations to ensure proper tracking.
  • Ability to analyze campaign data to drive marketing strategies and actionable insights from data
  • Ability to maintain a positive, can-do attitude through all tasks – big and small
  • Ability to evaluate creative

  • Proficiency in managing multiple projects to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment among cross-functional teams, and able to discuss priorities with management on an ongoing basis
