Salary** This is a Per-Visit position. You would be paid a flat rate to be on-call, then paid a visit rate for any visits made to patients during your call hours **
On-Call needs are between 5 PM - 9 AM Monday through Friday and 9 AM - 9 PM Saturday & Sunday.
As our growth continues, West Coast Hospice is seeking a After-Hours / On-Call Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) in Long Beach and the surrounding areas, to aid in our mission: to provide cost-efficient, quality home care services to the patients entrusted in our care. We are here to exceed the expectations of our patients, clients, and their families by providing excellent clinical care and premier service.

As a Per Diem / On-Call Hospice Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) you will:
- Assess, supervise and direct patient care.
- Perform patient care as required, including home assessments.
- Develop plans of treatment.
- Ensure and chart compliance with state regulations.
- Evaluate and treat patients using the most current technology and practices.
- Provide valuable input into the patient's care and treatment.

Hospice is both challenging and rewarding! This job requires a person who will never forget that home care is a team effort. Other requirements include:
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) by the State of California
- Minimum 2-3 years of Hospice Experience
- Experience with Homecare Homebase or other EMR not required but a HUGE plus
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
- Respecting the patient’s privacy and maintaining confidentiality
- Current California driver’s license and automobile liability insurance
- CPR Certification
