Position Title: Medical Assistant
Responsibilities include:
- Maintain patient medical history, vital statistics and test results in EMR system
- Experienced in Phlebotomy, Scribing, EMR Charting, EKG and Point of Care Tests
- Manage incoming calls, delivering compassionate support and assistance to patients
- Perform insurance verification and obtain prior authorizations
- Schedule patient appointments with Nurse Practitioners
- Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations including HIPAA and OSHA
Requirements:
- Certificate from a Medical Assistant Program
- High School Diploma/GED
- 2-3 years of experience in a healthcare setting
- Experience in using EMR systems
- Understanding of patient care and medical terminology
- Excellent interpersonal, organization and customer service skills
