Bridge Surgical Arts is an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Office in Columbia MD. We are seeking a versatile and dedicated individual to join our administrative team as a Biller and Receptionist/Front Desk. In this role, you will have a dual responsibility of managing billing processes and providing exceptional customer service at the Front Desk. Your expertise in billing procedures and friendly demeanor will contribute to the smooth operation of our practice and the satisfaction of our patients.
- Prepare and submit insurance claims for Oral Surgery procedures, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Verify patient insurance coverage and eligibility to optimize reimbursement
- Follow up on unpaid or denied claims, addressing any billing discrepancies or issues
- Review and reconcile patient accounts, maintaining meticulous attention to detail
- Stay updated on insurance regulations and billing codes pertinent to Oral Surgery procedures
- Support accounts receivable management and collections efforts
- Maintain strict confidentiality and security of patient information
Receptionist/Front Desk:
- Greet and welcome patients, ensuring a positive and friendly experience
- Schedule and manage patient appointments, coordinating with the clinical team
- Answer phone calls, address inquiries, and provide information about our services
- Check-in patients, update their records, and collect necessary paperwork
- Collaborate closely with the billing team to ensure accurate insurance information
- Maintain a clean and organized Front Desk area
- Assist in managing patient flow and optimizing the appointment schedule
Hours:
Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 8:00am- 4:00pm. Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8-12pm.
[Requirements]:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's degree in healthcare administration or related field preferred)
- Proven experience in medical billing and/or receptionist/Front Desk roles, preferably in an Oral Surgery or dental office setting
- In-depth knowledge of medical billing processes, insurance guidelines, and coding
- Proficiency in using billing software and electronic health records (EHR)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial calculations
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to provide excellent customer service and remain calm under pressure
