WHY YOU?
We are currently seeking a People Operations Intern to join our People Team this summer to perform a wide range of duties, including building the HR Confluence pages, support pre-employment processes and onboarding of new hires. Taken together, these responsibilities are critical to our People Team and the wider Author Health Team.
WHAT IS YOUR SUPERPOWER?
As a People Operations Intern with Author Health you will:
- You are experienced with handling administrative duties including maintaining personnel records and databases while ensuring accuracy and confidentiality
- You are comfortable using Confluence and able to build out an HR knowledge base
- You are able to support pre-employment efforts including completing reference checks and initiate background check invitations for selected candidates
- You enjoy collaboration and are able to partner with the People Operations Coordinator on scheduling a new employee's first two weeks of People Team onboarding sessionsYou are excited to contribute to People Team initiatives aimed at enhancing employee satisfaction
- You are willing to organize and communicate employee engagement initiatives such as creating birthday and work anniversary posts, and plan virtual/in-person events
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- Availability to work Monday-Friday 8am-5pm est (40 hours per week) during the months of June through mid August
- Proficiency with Google Workspace
- Must have the ability to handle confidential information
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Must be a graduating senior pursuing a bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- Experience working with a remote team preferred
