We're changing the way people fuel and rapidly expanding as we lead the ketone movement. We're looking for a skilled and dynamic People Operations Manager to help build the team that's leading this movement. An HR generalist who is passionate about People Ops and thrives on tackling new experience sets and solving problems across a fast-growing startup. Someone who loves finding efficiencies and setting up processes to scale and is obsessed with thinking about how we attract and retain top talent.
Job Responsibilities
  • HR Management & Policies
    • Own and manage an efficient HRIS (Human Resources Information System) to streamline HR processes and maintain accurate employee records.
    • Collaborate with senior management to identify HR needs and create strategic HR plans to attract, develop, and retain top talent.
    • Provide guidance and support to department managers on HR matters, including employee relations, performance management, and talent development.
  • Recruiting, Hiring, & Onboarding
    • Work closely with hiring managers to scope new roles and set the interview process.
    • Implement strategies to attract qualified candidates.
    • Own the end-to-end recruitment process, including job posting, screening, coordinating interviews, and maintaining candidate funnel.
    • Oversee offer negotiation and extend job offers.
    • Develop and conduct comprehensive onboarding programs to ensure new employees are set up for success and integrated into the company culture.
  • Compensation & Benefits
    • Conduct salary benchmarking and research to ensure our compensation packages are attractive and market-driven.
    • Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and manage competitive compensation and benefits programs.
    • Explore, propose, negotiate, set up and administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, flexible spending accounts, stipend administration, and other employee perks.
  • HR Compliance
    • Establish and maintain HR policies, procedures, and best practices in compliance with relevant employment laws and regulations.
    • Stay up to date with legal requirements and industry trends to ensure we remain compliant and competitive.
  • People Ops & Performance Management
    • Work closely with senior leadership to drive the performance management process, including goal setting, performance evaluations, and feedback sessions.
    • Implement employee recognition and engagement initiatives including coordinating company offsites, retreats, and in-person team meet-ups.
    • Act as a trusted advisor to employees, providing guidance and support on HR-related matters.
Qualifications
  • 3-5 years experience in recruiting, People Operations, and human resources at a high-growth startup
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience in building and implementing HR policies, procedures
  • Experience with recruiting, hiring, benefits administration, performance management, communication processes, compensation and wage structure, and general HR compliance
  • Ability to anticipate the needs of senior management and to proactively solve problems
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • High energy, ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced, startup environment
  • Passion for health and wellness
  • Preferably based in LA
