People Operations Coordinator(Hybrid - 3 days per week onsite in Irvine, CA)
Overview :
The People Operations Coordinator is the face of Weedmaps. In close partnership with the existing Coordinator, this role facilitates new hire onboarding and leads orientation in addition to serving as the first point of contact for employee inquiries and needs throughout the employment lifecycle. From running time-sensitive reports to coordinating a virtual DJ set for new hires to forging strong and productive relationships at all levels across the company, this is a no-two-days-are-the-same position. Learning opportunities are through the roof.

The People Operations Coordinator will join a strong team of bright, passionate, friendly HR practitioners. This role reports to the Vice President, People.
The impact you'll make:
  • Executes offer process from start to completion including generating offer letters and managing offer-related communications with new hires.
  • Executes and monitors the background check process from start to completion.
  • Executes new hire onboarding process including scheduling onboarding-related meetings, and processing new hire documentation.
  • Conducts Day 1 orientation for all new hires including leading presentations and office tours, and facilitates orientation-related tasks with cross functional teams.
  • Executes the I-9 process including completing the employer portion of Form I-9, verifying I-9 documentation, and maintaining I-9 files.
  • Serves as the main point of contact for Day-1 Orientation and new hire onboarding processes including managing communications between new hires, hiring managers and other stakeholders as needed.
  • Addresses HR-related questions and requests from employees received through various channels (e.g. email, phone, ticket, slack, etc.) in a timely manner.
  • Routes HR-related questions and requests from employees in a timely manner to the correct individual/teams responsible for providing answers/resolutions.
  • Ensures the receipt, scanning, distribution and processing of physical mail in a timely manner.
  • Assists in processing payroll tasks for each payroll cycle.
  • Executing employee status change-related tasks, including creating relevant documentation and updating data in HRIS.
  • Receives and accurately processes reference checks, unemployment claims, and verifications of employment requests in a timely manner.
  • Monitors employee completion of required training courses.
  • Maintains accurate electronic employee files.
  • Assists team members with projects as needed.

  • 2 years of experience in an HR support or general office administration support role
  • Effective communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Excellent interpersonal and listening skills
  • Experience working with virtual teams
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Strong ability to build trust and maintain confidentiality of information
  • Strong attention to detail

The base pay range for this position is $28.37 - $32.21 per hour
