This role will be instrumental in driving employee engagement, from onboarding to performance management, recognition, and internal training programs. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in policy development, ensure compliance with labor laws, and lead employee relations initiatives, collaborating closely with legal counsel when necessary. As our company expands both organically and through acquisitions, you will facilitate the seamless integration of new team members, working alongside M&A partners. Partnering with senior leadership, the People Ops team, cross-functional partners, and managers, you will reinforce our customer-centric culture, commitment to our vision, and mission through unwavering adherence to our core values, high standards, and impeccable integrity.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Strategic planning. Partner with business leaders to proactively drive workforce management strategies in the following areas: succession planning, leadership and team development, span of control, role competencies, performance metrics, goal alignment, organization design optimization, and employee engagement.
  • Serve as a consultative partner to people managers across the organization by conducting regular meetings, offering People Ops advice where necessary, and supporting leaders with managing performance improvement.
  • Serve as internal resource for employment laws and regulations, as well as other legal requirements regarding people management, to help ensure compliance.
  • Provide guidance on the creation and implementation of People Ops processes and policies across the business.
  • Lead the annual performance management and evaluation processes and technology enablement by driving participation, preparing training materials, monitoring systems, and accountability among leadership.
  • Partner with Comp leadership to help lead and manage the annual merit increase and bonus process.
  • Recommend and implement employee recognition programs, including the TBH CARES program and the Circle of Excellence annual program.
  • Implement employee engagement surveys, provide results to stakeholders with action plan recommendations, and strive to achieve "best company to work for" status, improving eNPS or e-recommend scores as per People Ops initiatives.
  • Streamline and standardize titles and compensation standards within our structure, maintaining and administering broad-based and management equity pools with appropriate documentation. Collaborate closely with the Talent Director and leadership on market compensation alignment.
  • Partner with the People Ops Specialist and L&D program manager to enhance the employee onboarding experience.
  • Standardize employee agreements and recommend changes as necessary.
  • Employee Relations. Oversee all employee relations and disciplinary matters as the People Ops Business Partner.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and partner to cross-functional teams and leaders.
  • Uphold high integrity and objectivity when implementing performance plans, coaching, and termination recommendations.
  • Maintain best practices for terminations, role eliminations, and severance procedures.

Qualifications
  • Ability to build meaningful cross-functional relationships to drive impactful organizational change.
  • Proven success in managing employee relations, claims, and disputes.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills across all organizational levels, from executives to employees, legal, leaders, and cross-functional partners.
  • Excellent written communication skills and experience crafting various employee engagement communications.
  • Proven experience of working and influencing a variety of Business Partners in a fast-paced and energetic environment.
  • Experience supporting Engineering and Product is ideal.
  • Technologically agile ability to learn software applications easily and independently.
  • Proven background in solving issues and deescalating situations with the ability to influence.
