KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Build Organizational Capability
o Engage with business leaders to translate the operational strategies into specific talent strategies and tactical priorities
o Lead the enhancement and execution of performance management, talent assessment, succession management, and learning programs and processes
o Collaborating with field leaders in the effective implementation of people programs such as work force planning, recruitment, onboarding, culture development, performance management, associate relations, and communication of key initiatives.
o Coaching and facilitation of leadership development programs to build capability; ensuring organizational health by promoting associate engagement.
o Participates in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars and serves as a key member of the market leadership team.
o Facilitates or provides training to the workforce.
o Provide coaching and direction to managers regarding corrective action/performance management policies, procedures and best practices. Review and approve all written & final written warnings and terminations.
o Coordinate and participate in talent reviews sessions and ensure development and succession plans are in place and a healthy pipeline exists for internal mobility.
o Provide consultation on compensation adjustments ensure equity across associate group and internal guidelines/practices are followed.
• Deliver Outstanding Functional Performance
o Provide effective associate relations support on human resource matters through strong execution of our associate relations programs and providing balanced counsel, policy evaluation and implementation, and conducting confidential investigations where required.
o Facilitate our recruiting and on-boarding processes to attract the depth and diversity of talent needed to meet our business objectives
o Support the evaluation and leveraging of our total reward programs to ensure their alignment to the business strategies and understanding of associate team members.
o Collaborate and partner with the balance of the People team in achieving our functional strategies and priorities
o Partners with associates and leaders to communicate various human resource policies, procedures, laws, standards and other government regulations.
o Assessing and implementing proactive retention and engagement strategies.
o Assists with recruitment tasks as needed (reviews applications, interviews).
o Performs benefits administration
o Run reports and conduct analysis to identify turnover trends, conduct exit interviews when appropriate, work with management to address issues related to turnover/associate morale and develop strategies to improve retention.
ATTRIBUTES / EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS
The selected candidate will be a highly inspiring, credible and experienced business leader with proven capability to drive results across their market. Specifically, the People Business Partner will have the following attributes, experiences and qualifications:
• At least 3 years of focused and relevant HR Generalist / Business Partner experience with additional experience in other HR disciplines preferred.
• Broad and strong understanding of HR laws, regulations, policies, and procedures
• Demonstrated ability to engage and partner with leaders through strong business acumen to achieve business objectives through talent programs
• Focused experience in building and executing professional, functional, managerial, and leadership learning and development programs
• Bachelor's degree in business, human resources or related discipline
• Has passion, high energy, ability to energize others, is hard working and has a high level of integrity
• Well-developed written presentation, organization, and editing skills
• Demonstrate analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Strong collaboration skills and the ability to contribute within a team setting
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to multi-task effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Pro-active and solution oriented
• Builds trust; connects with people; likeable, high confidence, low ego, coachable
• Demonstrated ability to influence and achieve results through others
