Job description

SUMMARY
The Peer Support Services Supervisor, under the supervision of the Regional Director, or designee, is responsible for oversight of Peer Support Services and Staff along with direct provision of Peer Support Services in accordance with regulatory requirements and FPS Policy, Mission and Philosophy within a designated department.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Enhance staff's ability to perform by teaching and modeling technical knowledge and skills, time management, communication skills, and conflict management skills.
• Provide regular individual and/or group supervision as appropriate and per service definition requirements.
• Supply staff with regular feedback, coaching and constructive criticism on job performance.
• Ensure service delivery is performed in accordance to agency mission, policies and philosophy.
• Manage staff's adherence to Medicaid, LME/MCO, and Division (MH/DD/SAS) guidelines.
• Track and monitor the progress of individuals and families receiving services. Collect and apply data to improve client outcomes.
• Collaborate with client(s) and CPSS to develop recovery-oriented person-centered plan for the client that demonstrates consideration for integrated care.
• Conduct at least one face-to-face contact with PSS clients within 90 days of PSS being initiated and no less than every 90 days thereafter to monitor the client's progress and effectiveness of the program; and to review with the client the goals of their PCP and document progress.
• Determine team caseload size based on the level of acuity and needs of the client(s).
• Facilitate or co-facilitate skill building recovery groups based on the needs or request of clients.
• Ensure referrals for community resources requested by client(s) are completed.
• Track and monitor that staff are appropriately assessing needs of clients, implementing treatment interventions consistent with treatment plans, providing best-practice interventions, accessing resources available and supporting consumer's movement across levels of care as appropriate.
• Meet the organization's quality improvement and evaluation requirements.
• Submit timely documentation and progress reports as requested.
• Identify staffing needs in coordination with the Regional Director. Recruit, interview, hire and train new staff.
• Cooperatively and actively participate in all assigned staff and supervisory meetings as well as in service trainings and staff development activities.
• Provide direct service interventions as appropriate and/or required within Peer Support Services Service Definition.
• Act as a role model to persons in recovery to inspire hope, share life experiences and lessons learned as a person in recovery.
• Model/mentor recovery process and demonstrate coping skills.
• Engage individuals who may be at risk and provide stage-appropriate recovery education and supports, e.g., usage of the leveling system and evidence-based practices.
• Demonstrate cultural sensitivity and competence and be trauma informed as relevant to the needs of individuals in recovery.
• Identify recovering persons' abilities, strengths and assets and assist them to recognize and use them.
• Educate and engage individuals in the Wellness Recovery Action Plan process as a means to recognize early triggers and signs of relapse, and use of individual coping strategies as an alternative to more restrictive services.
• Introduce and link individuals to community resources outside of the facility to promote community integration, e.g., public transportation training, computer educational/G.E.D. classes, vocational services, health and wellness, banking, and financial entitlements, etc.
• Assist recovering persons to have their voices fully heard.
• Identify barriers to full participation and develop strategies to overcome them.

TRAVEL
• This position requires travel of approximately 50% of the time.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor's Degree in Human Services
• 2 years of related experience and/or training
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
• 1 year Supervisory experience
• CPSS Certification

QUALIFICATIONS
Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints. Ability to write speeches and articles using original or innovative techniques or style. Ability to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations on controversial or complex topics to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations. Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Compensation: $40,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
