- Assist members with daily living and self-care needs that promote recovery and independence.
- Provide 1:1 and group activities to promote recovery principles including hope, empowerment, self-responsibility, and meaningful roles.
- Provide outreach services to members on weekends to increase socialization.
- Provide transportation training/assistance to and from activities/appointments for members.
- Support members in promoting recovery and self-direction by drawing on previous/current personal experiences in mental health treatment.
- Document all direct service delivery promptly and accurately, including communicating with clinical treatment teams.
- Obtain appropriate funding for activities in a timely and organized fashion.
Requires:
- High school diploma or GED
- Must be a person in recovery from a behavioral health condition
- Ability to work a flexible schedule which includes weekends
- Knowledge of Recovery and Wellness Concepts
- Peer Specialist training preferred but not required based on experience
- Ability to utilize/strong knowledge of Baltimore area public transportation
