Position Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and empathetic Peer Support Specialist to join our dynamic team. As a Peer Support Specialist, you will play a crucial role in providing support and encouragement to individuals on their journey to mental health recovery. The ideal candidate will have personal experience with mental health challenges and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one Peer Support to individuals facing mental health challenges.
- Foster a supportive and non-judgmental environment for individuals seeking assistance.
- Share personal experiences to inspire hope and promote recovery.
- Collaborate with other mental health professionals to develop and implement support plans.
- Assist individuals in setting and achieving their recovery goals.
- Facilitate support groups and workshops on various mental health topics.
- Advocate for the rights and preferences of individuals receiving services.

Qualifications:
- Lived experience with mental health challenges and a demonstrated commitment to personal recovery.
- Completion of a certified Peer Support Specialist training program.
- Strong communication and active listening skills.
- Empathy, compassion, and a non-judgmental approach.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and establish trust with individuals seeking support.
- Knowledge of local mental health resources and services.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
