About us and the role:
One of the Best Places to Work in the Inland Northwest (2018 -2022) is hiring for a Recovery Support Services Associate (Peer Support Counselor). This position is part of our Recovery and Support Services team.
Reporting directly to Recovery Support Services (RSS) Program Manager to assist in facilitating the program, case coordination, and services for individuals. The development of individual recovery support plans; provides recovery coaching; and Peer Supports for individuals on their recovery journey. Assist people to eliminate barriers to services and monitor client progress, using a person-centered approach to working with individuals in recovery. This is a benefited full-time position with a salary range of $38,903 to 42,511.04 annually, paid out bi-weekly.

How You'll Contribute:
  1. Assist with fulfilling program requirements such as program materials, tracking systems, GIPRA data, GIPRA Agency data, one on one appointments, outreach services, and other associated documentation.
  2. Conducts the initial client intake, assures that client understands the process, completes necessary paperwork for invoicing and data entry, helps develop, with clients, their recovery plan, and assists clients to address and meet their recovery plan goals. Secures needed signatures from clients to ensure compliance with program guidelines.
  3. Has knowledge of community resources, including housing and employment providers, bus passes, driver's licenses, and other resources that will assist clients with barriers to their recovery.
  4. Active participant in required team meetings, RSS, RSS building, and other CME teams as assigned. May be assigned to participate in community and agency meetings. Attends required and recommended trainings.
  5. Prepares materials and assists the Manager with monthly reports in a timely and accurate manner.
  6. Adheres to all state and federal privacy regulations and supports compliance with all privacy and security requirements.
  7. Facilitates Recovery Circles and School for Recovery classes as they may apply to Contract clients.

Requirements
  • Experience working with people with addictions in recovery and lived experience required.
  • GED or High School diploma required.
  • AA Degree in Addiction Studies or 2 minimum of years of experience in substance use disorders and/or mental health preferred.
  • Certified Peer Counselor or ability to obtain it w/in 90 days required.
  • Valid Driver's license and insurance.
  • Acceptable Criminal Background check.
  • Knowledge and acceptance of the recovery process with adults in SUD treatment.
  • Must exhibit proficiency using all standard software applications (Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook). Knowledge and ability to conduct research via the Internet and skills set to work with propriety database systems.
