Pediatric Physical Therapist

Ditmas Children's Nursing & Rehab is looking for a kind and compassionate pediatric Physical Therapist to join our amazing rehabilitation team. This is a great and unique opportunity to work with a dynamic interdisciplinary healthcare team to treat children of varying ages and diagnoses in a pediatric nursing facility. The individual should have a positive attitude, good energy, and a passion to serve the pediatric population with healthcare needs in the Brooklyn and NYC areas.

This position requires weekday, weekend, and holiday coverage on a rotating schedule.

Responsibilities & Job Descriptions:

• Evaluates, diagnoses, and manages physical impairments and disabilities.

• Assesses children and monitors progress.

• Provides recommendations for assistive devices, orthotics and positioning.

• Provides home exercise programs and family training for children and family for a safe discharge home.

• Collaborates with the interprofessional team for optimal outcomes for the children on caseload.
  

Qualifications & Job Requirements:

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited university
• Current Physical Therapy License to practice in New York State
• Passed the National Physical Therapist Examination
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• BLS certified
