Join Our Team as a Cardiac Sonographer - Make a Difference in Pediatric Care

Are you a passionate and certified Cardiac Sonographer ready to contribute to cutting-edge pediatric care? If so, Children's Memorial Hermann Hospital is seeking a dedicated professional to join our Heart Center team. As a Level I Pediatric Trauma Center and a leading trauma facility, our hospital is committed to providing the highest level of care for our young patients.
Schedule:
Full-Time Days (Monday to Friday, 7:30 am - 4 pm)
Part-Time Days (3 days per week, variable schedule, 8-10 hr shifts)
Some on-call duties required
Salary Maximum: $106,000.00
Principal Accountabilities:

• Perform echocardiogram tests on patients, ensuring technical quality of images.
  
• Enter and monitor patient data accurately.
  
• Demonstrate excellent customer service skills and escalate issues appropriately.
  
• Perform quality assurance on equipment and assist with accreditation applications.
  
• Identify and report accidents, complaints, or equipment malfunctions to Supervisor/Manager.
  
• Participate in departmental performance improvement activities.
  
• Take emergency calls within the department.
  

Requirements

Must-Haves:

• Certified in Basic or Advanced Life Support, required.
  
• One (1) of the following required:
  
• Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) by Cardiovascular Credentialing International
  
• Registered Congenital Cardiac Sonographer (RCCS) by Cardiovascular Credentialing International
  
• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) by American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS)
  
• Pediatric echo experience
  

Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Graduate of an accredited school of Cardiac Sonography Technology, Radiologic Technology, or Sonography Technology, preferred.
License/Certification:

• Certified in Basic or Advanced Life Support, required.
  
• One (1) of the following required:
  
• Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) by Cardiovascular Credentialing International
  
• Registered Congenital Cardiac Sonographer (RCCS) by Cardiovascular Credentialing International
  
• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) by American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS)
  

Experience / Knowledge / Skills:
Ability to lift and/or maneuver patients for testing.
