Job Summary: The Plating Operator level 1 reports directly to the Production Manager. In this position the operator will be responsible for following all established Plating procedures, processes and schedules to achieve the daily production goals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to (other duties may be assigned):

• Perform all aspects of the following PCB plating equipment and processes: DES (Develop/Etch/Strip), Outer layer etch, Electrolytic Nickel and gold plating, Electroless, Tin Plating and Copper tape.

• Report to work on time and directly to the assigned working area.

• Review product flow and ensure that the panels are in line with the specs through the entire plating process.

• Maintain all equipment clean.

• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment as needed.

• Perform all job duties following the specified Harbor Electronics process procedures at all times.

• Other duties requested by Supervisor to support manufacturing or engineering goals. This includes working other shifts as needed.

• Work overtime as required.

Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required:

Education and/or Experience:

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in the printed circuit boards manufacturing

• Prior PCB Plating or Chemical Maintenance experience preferred

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred but not required

• Good communication skills

• Basic understanding of chemical safety

• Read, write, and speak English

Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the functions of the job.

• Work under different temperature environments

• Plating is a physically demanding job that involves: working in a chemical environment, good manual dexterity, standing, walking, pushing, pulling transportation carts from the plating department to the next department and lifting parts (about 10-25 lbs.) during the entire shift.
