PCA needed in Prior Lake, Shakopee, Belle Plaine

Responsibilities:
- Provide personal care assistance to individuals in their homes
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Support individuals with developmental disabilities in achieving their personal goals
- Prepare meals and assist with meal planning according to dietary needs
- Perform light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment
- Provide companionship and engage in social activities with clients
- Assist with medication reminders and ensure adherence to prescribed regimens
- Drive clients to appointments, errands, and social outings

Experience:
- Previous experience in home care or a related field is preferred
- Knowledge of systems and processes related to personal care assistance
- Familiarity with social work principles and practices
- Ability to provide compassionate care to individuals with developmental disabilities or dementia
- Understanding of resident rights and the importance of maintaining confidentiality

Skills:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Empathy and patience when working with individuals who may have physical or cognitive limitations
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
- Attention to detail in providing personal care services according to individualized care plans

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
