We are seeking a(an) PBX for our team to ensure that we continue to provide all patients with high quality, efficient care. Did you get into our industry for these reasons? The PBX Operator is responsible for operating hospital switchboard and pager system and implementing all emergency plans according to hospital policy.
Position Responsibilities:
- Answers hospital lines for three facilities directing outside and internal calls appropriately.
- Utilizes beepers and overhead paging according to policy and procedures.
- Monitors security and facility alarms, notifying appropriate personal as needed.
- Sends Trauma Communicators.
- Stamps any outgoing mail. Sorts mail daily, placing it in corresponding department boxes.
- Help with training and guidance of new staff.
- Help maintain updated facility information i.e.: logs, lists, and on-calls.
- Assist and/ or direct everyone who comes to the office window appropriately and in a courteous manner.
- Issues and receives wheelchairs and sanitizes them after each use.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED, Good communication skills, operator experience, experience in customer service and preferably dispatch. Available to work all shifts.
- This role requires you to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 based on local, state and /or federal law or regulations (unless a medical or religious exemption is approved).

In addition, we are equipped with 3 helipads, new ICU and Medical/Surgical floors, and burn care services.
