Payroll Specialist

Rawson Inc Builders Supply is a distributor of building supply products. We are seeking to hire a first-shift, full time Payroll Specialist.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Specialist to join our team. The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for processing payroll, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and government regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in payroll processing, knowledge of various payroll systems, and excellent analytical skills.

Responsibilities:

• Process payroll for employees accurately and on time
• Review and verify timekeeping records for accuracy
• Calculate and process deductions, bonuses, and commissions
• Prepare and distribute paychecks or direct deposit payments
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations
• Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll matters
• Maintain accurate payroll records and reports
• Reconcile payroll accounts and resolve discrepancies
• Process benefits and Worker's Compensation Insurance billing
• Process intercompany labor billing
• Collaborate with HR department to ensure accurate employee data

Qualifications:

• Associate degree in accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
• Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist or similar role
• Strong knowledge of payroll systems such as Paylocity
• Proficient in analyzing data and identifying trends or discrepancies
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Knowledge of general ledger accounting and double-entry bookkeeping

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
