Job Description:
We are recruiting for a Payroll/Administrative Specialist. This is a regular, full-time position located in Anchorage, AK. This position works with our Payroll Administrator to complete payroll objectives to ensure all processes are executed accurately, timely and in accordance with government regulations. This position must maintain personnel information in a professional, confidential, and secure manner.
Qualifications:
· 2+ years of experience in payroll preferred
· Demonstrates an increasing level of responsibility and desire to learn
· Attention to detail and accuracy
· Excellent organization and critical thinking skills
· Ability to work in a fast-pace environment
· Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel & Outlook), internet use and spreadsheet development
· Experience in the oil & gas/construction industry is a plus
Responsibilities:
· Coordinates with Projects Department for onboarding paperwork, timekeeping, coding and reporting
· Responsible for maintaining employee and payroll records, and responding to payroll inquiries
· Responsible for other administrative tasks related to payroll and personnel processing
· Maintains complete payroll documentation for paper & electronic files
· Input and update employee data related to new hires, job changes and terminations
· Will assist in processing weekly payrolls and ensure that employees are paid timely and accurately
· Assists in audits by providing records and documentation
· Prioritize work demands to work accurately under pressure of deadlines
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
