Robert Half is seeking a Payroll Associate for this exciting opportunity with John Deere in Moline, IL!
This position will be onsite initially; the manager will allow it to move to hybrid (in the office on Wednesdays) once training is completed and ability to perform the job independently has been demonstrated.
Shift hours:
Monday and Tuesday- Start time is 6:30am.
Wednesday-Friday- Shift start time is more flexible.

Day to day duties:
- Process and analyze time, earnings, and deductions/withholdings on a weekly basis to derive accurate net pay in compliance with Human Resource/unit policies and union contracts
- Independently analyze and resolve complex payroll issues
- Communicate with employees of various levels regarding pay questions, processes, and training
- Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with peers, unit partners, and other functional areas
Required skills:

- Strong analytical skills and experience with complex data analysis

- Ability to quickly learn multiple Payroll/IT software systems
- Ability to approach change with a positive mindset
- Ability to identify and implement process improvements
- Advanced experience using Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel, Outlook, and Word
Skills that would make you stand out:
- Knowledge of payroll and payroll tax
- Experience maintaining confidential information
- Proficiency with SAP
- Experience using IBM/Host applications, such as TSO (Time Sharing Option) and RMDS (Report Management and Distribution System)
Educational requirements:
Associate or bachelor’s degree in a business or accounting discipline or equivalent experience
