DESCRIPTION
Aligned Management Services LLC (AMS) is the wholly-owned management arm of Physician Equity Holdings LLC, which is rolling up private practices in ophthalmology in the western US. AMS provides administrative and management services to private practices in the growing field of ophthalmology.
This position provides a unique opportunity to work with a values-based, growing company and to implement best-practices in the practices under management. AMS is an early-stage company with significant opportunity for advancement for the right person.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Administer and document all aspects of employee compensation, including salaries, wages, incentives, bonuses, and deductions (e.g., payroll taxes, garnishments, 401k, social security).
- Process and manage all aspects of payroll, including calculating hours, calculating deductions, processing new hires and terminations, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
- Generate pay data reports as requested, collaborate with other departments, and identify, research, and resolve issues related to payroll, benefits, and HR activities.
- Monitor and track vacation and sick hours for all employees, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
- Plan and promote company-wide benefits initiatives, including open enrollment, information webinars, and meetings.
- Serve as the primary administrator for employee benefits, managing processes related to new hires, terminations, life events, reporting, and regularly auditing employee benefits.
- Assist with onboarding and offboarding efforts, ensuring a smooth transition for new hires and departing employees.
- Audit personnel files in accordance with federal, and state laws to maintain compliance and accuracy.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
- At least 3 years of experience in payroll administration or related field
- Experience with payroll processing software and familiarity with payroll taxes and regulations
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate with employees about Payroll and benefits
- Experience with HRIS systems (Paycor) and accounting software (NetSuite) is a plus
- Knowledge of federal and state labor and tax laws
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $26.00 - $32.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 25 per week
