POSITION TITLE: PAYROLL ANALYST
REPORTS TO: DIVISIONAL HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGER
SUMMARY
The Payroll Analyst is responsible for providing operational support to the payroll team, process payroll, and manage garnishments with the assistance of ADP.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Process bi-weekly payroll using ADP platform.
- Process changes to employee records in ADP.
- Run reports for analytical needs.
- Manage garnishments for all employees with the assistance of ADP.
- Interacts with HR Business Partners, Controllers, Payroll, Finance, and other internal or external groups.
- Expected to quickly reprioritize work in order to minimize liability exposure for Pratt and its employees.
- Submit all Garnishment paperwork to ADP in a timely manner.
- Assist the Payroll Team in ADP Vantage with garnishment set ups, inquiries, and research.
- Special projects and additional duties will be assigned on a regular basis
- Validate completion and payments to all agencies are completed in accordance with court orders.
- Ensure that all garnishment mail is reviewed in a timely manner.
- Maintain records for each agency for all Pratt Entities across 76 Pay Groups.
- Perform internal audits as requested.
- Identify and resolve issues as well as drive change for related improvements.
Comply with company policies and procedures.
Additional duties as assigned by management.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
Minimum of 2 years Payroll Tax Related Experience
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Computer literate (proficient in MS Office, & Google Platforms)
Candidates are PREFERRED who offer the following:
2 Year Associates Degree
Experience in manufacturing
Strong recruiting background
Familiar with garnishments, tax levies, etc.
ADP Vantage experience
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret financial statements, general business periodicals, professional journals, operating and maintenance instructions, regulatory laws and manuals, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to communicate effectively with customers and employees of the company.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
TECHNICAL SKILLS
Computer literate (MS Office including Word and Excel)
Proficient knowledge and application of Payroll Tax
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Employee is regularly required to walk and talk and hear, sit and stand. Vision requirements include: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, and fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment can be, at times, loud.

PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENTS
The performance of the Payroll Analyst will be measured as follows:
Operating standards - The employee will need to meet or exceed the Operating Standards set in the areas of quality, cost, safety, planning, customer satisfaction, supervision, efficiency, and productivity. Such standards will be set annually and communicated to the manager.
Personal growth - Each year there will be professional goals developed and agreed to by the manager and supervisor
Employee relations – The employee will be evaluated regarding his/her behaviors associated with appropriate human interaction, respect, and communication.
Creativity – This will be evaluated by how active the employee is in participating in advancing the business through new and innovative ideas.
