Payroll & Accounts Payable Specialist

Requirements of a Payroll & Accounts Payable Specialist:

• 2+ years’ experience in Accounts Payable & payroll processing
• Proliant payroll experience preferred
• Microsoft Office proficiency
• Strong initiative and ability to manage multiple projects
• Excellent communication skills
• Detail oriented with strong organizational skills

Responsibilities of a Payroll & Accounts Payable Specialist:

• Respond to general AP inquiries from vendors
• Assist associates with day to day AP questions (via email and phone)
• Coordinate on-demand check requests and their required approvals
• Work through large vendor statements and follow up with field/vendors
• Import employee hours and special pays into payroll system
• Evaluate payroll data for reasonableness
• Review timesheets, wage computation, and other information to detect and reconcile payroll discrepancies
• Update payroll records/run payroll/post journal entries
• Communicate with supervisors and managers to resolve payroll questions
• Prepare pay statements and payroll reports
