What You'll Do
As the Payments Operations Manager, you will provide senior-level oversight to our Payment portfolio. In this role, you would ensure that our team of credit, risk, & sales analysts are operating within the guidelines set forth by our payment partnerships and providing continual process improvements to drive revenue growth across each team.
You will be responsible for:
- Have operational oversight of the following daily tasks: Credit underwriting, credit monitoring, and transactional level risk management to ensure the organization does not incur losses.
- Perform internal audits of underwriting, risk, pricing, compliance, and customer service.
- Administer periodic review programs of existing merchants to ensure compliance.
- Be responsible for daily merchant reserve management, new customer sales & onboarding.
- Be accountable for merchant and portfolio pricing review and profitability analysis.
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly reporting and trend analysis to identify current business trends and opportunities.
- Establish and drive KPIs for the business growth.
- Work with internal and external parties to promote initiatives to grow the payments business.
- Ensure Tekmetric is operating in accordance with all card brand and federal regulations.
- Maintain operational responsibilities within the scope of our ISO Agreement and bank sponsorship with our processor and acquiring bank.
- Daily operational liaison with all Payment infrastructure providers
- Ensure all departments are adhering to policies and operational guidelines to accept payments
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Robust data analysis and financial analysis capabilities are required.
- Five or more years of related experience working in the merchant acquiring business for a financial institution, payment processor, or Independent Sales Organization (ISO)
- Strong knowledge of merchant acquiring business acquired through previous work experience.
- Current understanding of industry developments and associated risks.
- Strong analytical skills and strong communication skills, both written and verbal, as the position requires frequent interaction (including report preparation) with customers and Tekmetric senior leadership
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to speak directly to merchants about their processing relationship
- Participation in the Merchant Acquirers Committee (MAC)
- Strong proficiency in Stripe, Excel, HubSpot, SalesForce experience preferred
