Job Summary
Responsible for receiving customers into clinic, welcoming patients/visitors; provides direction, assistance and/or referral to support pleasant and efficient Clinic Operation.
What you will do
- Welcomes patients and visitors as they enter clinic/department. Directs them to appropriate location including clinical, ancillary or business areas.
- Helps patients needing assistance. Transfers patients in/out of wheelchairs using body mechanics techniques.
- Follows clinic protocol in alerting appropriate personnel in emergency situations.
- Handles customer concerns in helpful, objective manner, involving manager as appropriate.
- Arranges for necessary transportation including cabs, clinic vans.
- May assist in maintaining waiting areas.
- Maintain lost and found.
Education Qualifications
- High School Diploma and/or GED Required
Experience Qualifications
- 1-3 years Minimum of one year customer service experience or volunteer position Preferred
Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of customer service concepts including importance of appropriate image.
- Knowledge of clinic policies/procedures, department locations/personnel.
- Knowledge of emergency protocols.
- Skill in appropriate welcoming techniques.
- Skill in providing current directions to visitors.
- Skill in behaving appropriately in all situations including emergencies and use of equipment.
- Ability to communicate clearly and positively with all types of customers and can establish/maintain cooperative working relationships.
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
- Ability to maintain attractive lobby/waiting areas.
