What Are We Looking For?
UCI is currently looking for a Patient Support Agent to join our team. The Patient Support Agent handles inbound and outbound calls for the centers, tracks and records medical documentation, and processes complaints in accordance with quality improvement standards.
Do You Have What It Takes?
A good candidate will bring with them:
- High School diploma or equivalency
- One year of experience in customer service and/or related clinical environment; working knowledge of medical terminology.
- Demonstrated experience in a call center, referral management or appointing environment
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information.
- Ability to communicate effectively on the telephone.
- Ability to relate to persons with diverse educational, socioeconomic, and ethnic backgrounds.
- Ability to handle a "call center" environment: work quickly and multi-task. Ability to exercise good judgment to handle calls appropriately.
- Ability to demonstrate good customer service.
- Ability to reflect our mission, vision, and values through actions and conduct.
An ideal candidate would also have:
- Associate’s Degree or related healthcare certification
- Familiar with medical terminology, medical procedure and diagnostic coding
- Familiar with an Electronic Medical Record system(s)
- Bilingual in Spanish.
