We are seeking a full-time Patient Services Specialist/Surgery Scheduler to join our General Surgery and Burn Specialists Clinic in North Portland. Workdays for this position are Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 5:00 pm. This position is primarily responsible for accurately scheduling all patient surgeries in an efficient and timely manner, obtaining all prior authorizations and surgery benefit information, answering phones, scanning documents into our EMR system, updating/obtaining insurance information and medical records, and performing other duties as assigned while providing excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will have 2 years of medical front office experience, excellent attendance, and the ability to multitask. If you can learn quickly, problem solve, and greet patients with a friendly, comforting demeanor while continually contributing to improving our patient experience, we want to hear from you! Starting pay range, based on experience: $18.33 - $24.81.
Medical, Vision, and Rx Insurance is 100% paid for by The Oregon Clinic for full-time employees.
Requirements:
- Surgery scheduling experience highly preferred
- Two (2) years of medical office experience is preferred.
- Medical Assistants are welcome to apply!
- Prior experience with Centricity preferred but not required.
- Prior CPS and Epic experience preferred
- Excellent phone skills and customer service skills.
- Excellent attendance and work ethic.
- Positive attitude and desire to be a team player.
- Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with patients, staff, and providers.
