Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Patient Relations Representative - 9a - 5p - Monday - Friday - Fulltime - Brooklyn.
In this role, the successful candidate The Patient Relations Representative associate performs the diversified functions to assist patients in Registration/Information, Appointments, Patient Care modules and other areas such as Medical Records. The PRR is responsible for the direct oversight of the PRR in the assigned department. Duties may vary depending upon the needs of the work site. Maintains the security and confidentiality of patient information at all times.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist with patient related outreach and engagement as assigned.
Assist with translation if needed.
Serve as a resource for community services, etc.
Document all issues using excel program. Monitor patient issues/complaints daily and provide follow up to leadership.
Involve site director and other appropriate individuals to facilitate resolution of concerns.
Address specific patient requests
Serve as a liaison for the patients and is a patient advocate
Participate in Site meetings to communicate patient information and Patient relations updates
Communicate pertinent information gathered to site leadership, Senior Director Network Operations
- Engage patients in discussions regarding their experience at the health center. Encourage patients to submit satisfaction survey for continual feedback and improvement.
Greets and address patients in the waiting areas at the sites to introduce the PR concept. Discuss digital technology and assist patients to activate MyChart, Find a Doc, and log into websites for NYU FHC as needed.
Facilitate the patients experience at the site, and if needed, assist with ancillary appointments and patient portals
Scheduled routine presence at all FHC sites.
all other dutes as needed, including clerical and general office work
Additional Position Specific Responsibilities:
assist with general office work and responsibilities, filing, sorting patient documents, authorizations and or referrals
Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a High School Diploma
Excellent and previous customer service skills. Bi lingual in the designated languages of patient populations served.
Preferred Qualifications:
1 year plus medical practice experience, patient communications
Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $47,308.39 - $49,673.40 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
