Job description

Position Summary:
PriMED is an Independent Primary Care practice that seeks to change the way healthcare is delivered in our community. We are seeking Patient Experience Advocates to provide customer support and service to our patients, while demonstrating PriMED’s core values. The primary purpose of this position is to help our patients navigate the complexities of their healthcare journey by answering calls timely and effectively. You will support these efforts by scheduling patients for the appointments they want and need, obtaining the appropriate personal, demographic and financial information to register new patients, while answering questions that will help achieve the highest standards of care for all patients we serve.
Our ideal candidate should be dependable, professional and have a service first attitude. They want to better themselves, their teammates and the experience for our patients. They should be empathetic and caring.
Candidates will also have the ability to work from home once training is complete.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Answer incoming calls
  • Schedule Patient Appointments
  • Register New Patient (Intake)
  • Verify Patient Insurance Eligibility
  • Perform Patient Outreach
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Communication – The Patient Experience Advocate must have excellent verbal communication skills and active listening skills to evaluate patients and assess their care needs
  • Customer Service – Providing timely attentive and upbeat service to our customers. Someone who is able to create RAVING FANS!!!
  • Detail Oriented- Provide accurate and detailed information
  • Computer Skills – Ability to effectively navigate a computer with multiple screens, softphones, and other software applications needed to accurately schedule patient appointments.
  • Critical Thinking- Ability to solve complex problem with basic guidelines
Education, Experience, Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in customer service (call center experience preferred)
  • Experience with healthcare background is helpful
