Positions in this function are part of an interdisciplinary care team to support patients facing serious illness, including their families and care givers. As part of the leadership team, the Supervisor, Patient Engagement plays a critical role in helping to oversee a team of Patient Engagement Specialists who play a critical role in reaching out to potential customers, explaining the benefits of our program and approach, and scheduling the initial in-home clinical visit with the customer and, where applicable, their family and care giver(s).

Schedule: 8-hour shifts -Hours Vary: 7:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. Central Standard Time (CST)

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Management of the Patient Engagement Specialists (PES)assigned to support dedicated markets
  • Participating in the education, training, and development planning of assigned resources in close collaboration with locally-based operational leadership and market-based clinical leadership
  • Administrative management of the PES team, including PTO requests, 1:1s, continuous improvement opportunities, and call coverage for required shifts
  • Work in conjunction with national and regional leadership to assist in writing and refining policies and procedures within the scope of the PES responsibilities
  • Foster and maintain relationships between local clinicians, the clinical directors and Regional VP’s
  • Ensure PES teams consistently and accurately follow expectations regarding processes and procedures, including triage and escalation processes, focused to maximize program outcomes
  • Ensure the PES teams have the appropriate systems and technology support required to perform their job functions
  • Ensure PES team members’ meet company goals and objectives
  • Monitor PES calls to assess competency and determine training and development opportunities
  • Monitor management reports to determine performance challenges and improvement opportunities and address appropriately
  • Ability to multitask, set priorities, and manage time effectively
  • Other administrative duties, as required

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of work experience with patient clinical documentation systems
  • Experience interpreting and analyzing data
  • Experience working with Windows PC Applications with the ability to learn new and sometimes complicated systems
  • Work experience using Microsoft Word (editing, drafting, and saving Word documents), Microsoft Excel (editing, creating, sorting, and filtering spreadsheets/data), and Microsoft Outlook (mail, calendaring, and folder management)
  • Working knowledge of medical terminology


Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of supervisory experience with direct reports
  • Experience managing teams in a multi-site or virtual environment
  • Experience in palliative care or hospice
  • Bilingual or multilingual fluency, including the ability to read, write, and speak
