We're growing! Full-time front office team member needed for a well-established general dental practice in Alcoa. Candidates should be detail-oriented, and have an understanding of dental insurance and treatment planning. Must be dependable, a people person, and a team player.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate patient appointments and schedules
- Obtain and verify patient information
- Assist with dental billing and coding processes
- Ensure accurate and timely submission of claims to insurance companies
- Follow up on unpaid claims and resolve any billing discrepancies
- Maintain patient records and ensure confidentiality of sensitive information
- Communicate with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and patients regarding billing and payment inquiries
Qualifications:
- 2+ years experience in dental or medical administration/patient coordination required
- Knowledge of dental terminology, and dental coding desired
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with dental collection processes is a plus
