Compensation
Mount Sinai South Nassau provides a salary range in good faith determination of potential compensation to comply with the New York State law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and hospital need. The salary range listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
The Patient Care Technician (PCT) is a specially trained member of the Wound Care Center Team who aids the RN, MD, or PA in delivery of selected aspects of Patient Care. The individual is a member of the Wound Care Center team functioning under the direction and supervision of a Registered nurse.
Education Required
- Must complete in-house orientation program
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Completion of Nursing Assistant or medical assistant preferred
Experience And Skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Speaks, reads and writes English
- Minimum one year experience in nursing/medical office setting
- Able to perform blood pressures
- Basic computer skills
- Good verbal and written communication skills
License/Certifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant preferred
Working Conditions
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) worn
- Able to complete a two person lift from wheelchair to exam table
- Frequent, prolonged standing/walking, lifts, positions and/or transfer of patients
- Bending and stretching to lift boxes and put inventory on shelf.
