Responsibilities:
- Greet and check-in patients upon arrival at the dental office or medical facility
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments using dental office software (Eaglesoft)
- Collect and update patient information, including medical history and insurance details
- Answer phone calls and respond to patient inquiries in a professional and friendly manner
- Maintain patient records and ensure accuracy of medical or dental charts
- Coordinate referrals to specialists and follow up on patient treatment plans
- Assist with billing and insurance claims processing
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality
- Provide excellent customer service and ensure patient satisfaction throughout their visit
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a dental receptionist, medical receptionist, or Patient Care coordinator preferred
- Familiarity with dental or medical office procedures and terminology
- Proficiency in using dental or medical office software
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining patient privacy
- A people person with an exacting mindset
- Enthusiasm, as well as customer service experience
