Job Summary:
As a Patient Care Coordinator at Luna Joy, you play a crucial role in ensuring a seamless and positive patient journey and experience. This position involves coordinating Patient Care, facilitating communication between interdisciplinary teams, patients, and addressing inquiries related to payments and appointment setting.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for patients interested in Luna Joy services
- Communicate effectively with patients to schedule appointments, provide instructions, and address inquiries.
- Schedule telehealth appointments based on patient availability and provider schedules.
- Send appointment reminders and ensure timely communication of telehealth instructions to patients.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in the telehealth system.
- Document patient interactions, appointment details, and any relevant information in electronic health records and GHL.
- Assist patients with technical aspects of telehealth platforms, ensuring a smooth and user-friendly experience.
- Troubleshoot common technical issues and escalate complex problems to the appropriate Managers and IT support channels.
- Verify patient insurance information and coverage for telehealth services.
- Assist patients in understanding billing processes related to telehealth appointments.
- Monitor and evaluate the quality of telehealth interactions, providing feedback to healthcare providers as needed.
- Collaborate with the quality assurance team to ensure compliance with telehealth standards and protocols.
- Advocate for patient needs and concerns, ensuring a patient-centric approach in all telehealth interactions.
- Address patient feedback and collaborate with the patient experience team to enhance service delivery.
- Provide patients with information and resources on how to maximize the benefits of telehealth services.
- Assist in developing patient education materials related to telehealth.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a Patient Care coordination or similar role.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Familiarity with telehealth platforms and technology.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance processes.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
