Robert Half is currently looking for a Patient Financial Counselor to join our Fortune 50 Client. As a Patient Financial Counselor, you will be responsible for assisting patients with billing inquiries and ensuring a positive customer experience. The Patient Financial Counselor is a hybrid role, meaning work weeks will alternate between being onsite one week and remote the next week. Primary Responsibilities:
+ Evaluate patients' financial situations to determine eligibility for financial assistance programs, insurance coverage, or payment plans.
+ Offer guidance and support to patients regarding healthcare billing, insurance claims, and options for managing medical expenses.
+ Assist patients in setting up payment schedules or negotiating payment agreements to ensure timely resolution of medical bills.
+ Explain hospital or clinic financial policies, procedures, and available resources to help patients understand their financial obligations and rights.
+ Maintain accurate records of financial counseling sessions, payment arrangements, and communications with patients to ensure compliance with regulations and facilitate follow-up as needed.
Requirements+ High school diploma or equivalent.
+ Previous experience in a healthcare role or a billing role.
+ Excellent customer service skills.
