Patient Care Associate - Operating Room

As a member of the Patient Services team, and under the direction of a Registered Nurse, the Patient Care Associate (PCA) performs all aspects of first-level Patient Care, and also assumes responsibility for maintenance of all emergency equipment supplies. The PCA ensures a safe environment for patients, visitors, and coworkers, as well as appropriate utilization of resources. This position provides rapid response to patient/family needs and requests.

High school graduate or GED Medical terminology preferred Experience equivalent to 100 hours of Patient Care experience strongly preferred. Assumes responsibility for maintaining current knowledge related to the age and development of the patient population served. * Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required; can be obtained after hire.
