Form of work A well-established LGBTQ Community Health Center based in New York City is currently seeking full-time Patient Care Associates to join them. Here, you will be working alongside an interdisciplinary team of professionals working to improve the overall health of the communities they serve and increase their access to various healthcare services.
The base pay range for this position is $20 to $22 per hour. The actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based on geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of the offer. Responsibilities:
Perform light bookkeeping, filing, and maintenance of office environment.
Conducts interview of clients to obtain routine personal and medical information and appropriate health history.
Maintains, completes, processes, and files patients' charts, appropriate forms, and documents.
Reports observations of patients to the medical staff caring for patients to ensure professional assessment.
Collect co-pays and payments for services from patients; enter registration information in EMR systems.
Qualifications:
A High School Diploma or GED equivalent required; Associates degree preferred.
2+ years of experience as a Patient Care Associate in a medical office or healthcare setting ideal.
Must be bilingual in English/Spanish
Knowledge of eClinicalWorks EMR is preferred.
