Job Summary
- Perform clerical duties: answer phones, take and relay messages, schedule patients, fax, and file documents. Assist with errands for department staff.
- Assist in departmental work and visitor flow escorting patients and families between departments.
- Perform appropriate supportive care for patients under the direction of a nurse. Accompany patient to exam room and assess vital signs, perform EKGs, and transport specimens to lab.
- Coordinate patient, maintenance, or repair services from other departments under direction from nurse.
- Clean and restock exam rooms and Patient Care equipment.
Education and/or Experience
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Previous work in a hospital or long-term care facility is preferred.
Licensure/Certification/Registration
- Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) registry preferred but not required.
- BLS within 30 days of start date.
Work Schedule
- 8:00 am - 5:00 pm as needed; PRN
Pay
The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
- $17.50 - $21.25 per hour
