Pay starting at $19.00 - $23.00 per hour

Purpose of the Position
The Patient Accounts Representative shall be responsible for billing services monthly and monitoring the accounts receivable.
Education and Experience Requirements
Required: One to three years experience in health care billing.
Preferred: Associate's degree in Health Care Business
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Verifies accuracy of billable service data
Processes payment, denials, and refunds. Follows up on incorrect payments and denials.
Ensures compliance with third party contracts and policies
Makes adjustments, transfers, write-offs, and completes appeals when applicable
Reviews payments and denials to determine appropriateness from third party payors
Reviews billing statements for accuracy and payor requirements
Ensures self pay bills reflect maximum amounts that may be billed based on Wisconsin administrative code Communicates with clients/responsible party and third party payor's.
Ensures timely billing to secondary payors within filing deadlines
Serves as the contact for third party payor's and collection's agencies.
Reviews daily obituaries on line for any clients; sends to appropriate areas
Maintains regular and predictable on-site attendance
