• Counsel patients on financial arrangements according to clinic collection policy.
• Set up payment arrangement plans by making patient phone calls.
• Work with patients with outstanding self-pay balances.
• Communicate with other departments of the Business Office regarding Patient Accounts.
• Able to work flexible working schedule.
• Other miscellaneous dutiesPerformance Requirements:

• The ability to work with patients in a courteous and professional manner and always upholding our professional image in very difficult situations
• Positive attitude in dealing with people in adverse situations
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment
• Ability to work tactfully with patients, physicians, insurance companies, and co-workers.
• Excellent communication skills with the patients and fellow employees to maintain the quality of work needed for the department.Education/Experience/Certifications:

• Collection experience preferred.
• Knowledge of credit policy and billing procedures.
• Computer knowledge preferred.
• Ability to communicate in Spanish preferred
• Prior medical experience helpful.Non-Essential Duties: Work is performed in an office environment. Involves frequent contact with staff and the public. Work may be stressful at times.Typical Physical Demands:
