Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
-Travels to and works from various clinic locations as needed.
-Schedules patient appointments.
-Answers incoming phone calls.
- Assists in patient scheduling and rescheduling needs.
-Prints and distribute patient schedules.
-Works with clinical staff to ensure timely patient flow throughout the clinic.
-Ensures that all follow up appointments are scheduled.
-Sends appropriate patient information to other physicians, diagnostic studies etc. for continuing care.
-Works with patients who use community transportation services.
-Schedule interpreters for all patients with translation needs.
-Coordinate appointments with providers to ensure timely delivery of diagnostic and treatment services
-Ensure that appropriate medical records are available at scheduled appointments.
Additional duties:
-Maintains strictest confidentiality; adhere to all HIPAA guidelines/ regulations.
-Attends meetings and /or training as required
**To ensure the safety of NWMS’ vulnerable patient populations, we require post-offer proof and/or completion of various vaccinations such as the flu shot and COVID-19. Any requests to be exempted from these requirements will be reviewed by Human Resources and determined on a case-by-case basis.
