Patient Access Representative - Admitting Department

Works under the Department Supervisor Manager and Director of Patient Access. Effectively utilizes all department specific computer systems to accurately complete registrations complying with regulatory and health system requirements. Responsible for registration of all patient types within their department and must have full understanding of the requirements of the RHS Charity program and self-pay processes insurance requirements Medical Necessity and patient liability calculations. Works daily reports and account work queues to ensure integrity of registration data. The Patient Access Representative is responsible for the delivery of critical components of the Revenue Cycle; understanding regulatory compliance maintaining patient safety through correct patient identification practices and providing excellent customer service.

Education: High School Diploma or GED Required

Experience: 1+ years experience in business office setting preferred or College Degree accepted in lieu of experience.
